The Pultneyville Mariners are
a sailing club located on Lake Ontario just 30 minutes east of
Rochester, NY. Regarded as one of the most beautiful
harbors on
Lake Ontario and protected by a peninsula, Pultneyville is an ideal
place to sail.

What a day to learn to sail! Ole Capt. Hook (er) brings someone
back from their first sail on a catamaran.
There are docks for sailboats up to 22 feet
(such as Catalina 22s and MacGregor 22s) and a boat launch for dry
sailing. The beach is used to launch small sailboats (such as
Sunfish and Lasers) and catamarans (such as Hobies, Nacras and
Prindles). There are storage sheds for protecting the small boats
from the elements and storing gear for dry sailed boats.
The Pultneyville Mariners are not exclusively a sailing club. The
Sea Kayaking Club
holds a number of events throughout the summer and there are also
members who windsurf, canoe and row. Camping, swimming, fishing,
lying out on the beach, playing on the beach and beach volleyball are
also popular with the members.
The social events are top notch, often
attracting hundreds of people to the club. The facilities include
a clubhouse with a kitchen, locker rooms and boat storage sheds.
This year's Bob
Lamberton Memorial Sunfish Revival Regatta is scheduled
for July 17th which is also the date for the Pultneyville Homecoming
festival.. See www.pultneyville.com
or www.pultneyvillehistoricalsociety.org
for more information.
If you are thinking about joining the club
please see the join page for contact
information, rates and to schedule a tour of the facilities.
